Keep reading below for Puppy Day activities and printables!
Day #10. Puppy Day!
Here is what we have planned for today! 🙂 Did you want to download and print out everything for this month all at once? You now can! Grab the Spring School Activity Pack here!
This 81-page PDF bundle comes with every printable you’ll need for this month PLUS extra printables (Baby Animals Notebook for Kids, Baby Animal Fact Cards, & Spring Vocabulary Cards). It is great for saving time by downloading and printing everything all at once! You’ll also receive a Spring School bookmark and punch card for your kids to use as they move through each themed day. 🥰
Activity Ideas
IMPORTANT NOTE: Most of these printable activities will be FREE for you to download, but only during Puppy Day! So, make sure to download them even if you are going to do Puppy Day later in the week – that way you can still snag them for free. If you could leave a review behind afterwards, that would be amazing too! THANK YOU!! 🥰❤️
#1. Puppy in the Bathtub Splatter Paint Art!
Print out this PDF here on some cardstock and have your kids paint the puppy! Once they are finished with the painting, dip a paintbrush into some blue paint and have them pull back on the bristles to splatter paint on the page to make it look like the puppy is shaking off the water!
This will get messy, so make sure to have some newspapers, painting towels, or a sheet laid down behind it!
#2. Do a Puppy Crossword Puzzle
Print out this PDF and have your kids practice some reading/problem-solving skills while they complete this crossword puzzle!
#3. Watch This to Learn More About Puppies!
If your kids are visual learners or if your family likes to include some learning videos, here is one for today from The Good and the Beautiful! There are also some extra options at the bottom of this blog post. 😊
#3. Fill Out Puppies Notebook Page (BONUS)
Did you get the Spring School Bundle or the Baby Animals Notebook? Color, read, and fill out the baby bunny notebook page!
#4. Read & Hang Up Puppies Fact Card (BONUS)
Did you grab the Spring School bundle or the Baby Animal Fact Cards? You can read the fact card for today and hang up on the wall or display board!
Books
(Note: Everyone has different book standards! I highly suggest skimming through any books before reading them to your kids, just to make sure it aligns with your family values first) 🩷
Today we’ll be reading, “Just Me and My Puppy” by Mercer Mayer, “Sit. Stay. Love. Life Lessons from a Doggie” by Chalaine Kilduff, and “The Poky Little Puppy” by Janette Sebring Lowrey.
However, if you were unable to grab these books from the library or store, here are the read aloud options on YouTube!
PS: If you have an older child, I recommend having them read 1-2 chapters from, “Charlotte’s Web” today!
