I absolutely love to do “all about me” themes at the beginning of the year!
Self-portraits, fun questionnaires, and more…it’s precious to look back on these projects and see the progression in their work (and their thoughts/what they write about themselves) throughout the years.
For all the activity options and ideas, keep on scrolling below!
Are you new to these monthly themes? No worries! You can join our FB group at any time and print out the Me & My World September Calendar to get started! Just scroll to the bottom of this post and pop your email in so I can send the free calendar to you.

Day #2. All About Me Day!
Here is some of what we are planning to do today! 🙂 Did you want to download and print out everything for this month? You now can! Grab the Me & My World Activity Bundle here!
This 98-page PDF bundle comes with every printable you’ll need for this month PLUS extra printables like a master supply list, suggested reading list, themed snack photos, grocery list, and a teacher guide for each day! It is great for saving time by downloading and printing everything all at once! You’ll also receive a Me & My World bookmark and punch card for your kids to use as they move through each themed day. 🥰
Activities
IMPORTANT NOTE: In the past, I’ve offered most items for free for 24 hours, on each themed day. I will still be giving away some freebies here and there, but most printables will stay exclusive for those who purchase the monthly bundle.
Why this change? There have been some concerns with a few individuals taking advantage of everything in my store being free at one point. For that reason, I need to make a change and protect my shop and whichever activities I did spend a lot of my time on creating. Thank you for understanding and for helping support me as I put time into making these themes! If you are unable to purchase the monthly bundle, I would definitely still love to have you tag along and use the snack ideas, YouTube educational video links, and read aloud book links! And as I mentioned above, there will still be occasional freebies too! ❤️
#1. All About Me Mini-Book
Print out and assemble this mini-book here! Your student will read and fill out the notebook pages.
#2. FREE All About Me Face Self-Portrait
Here is a freebie for today! Print this self-portrait template out on cardstock and let your student have fun painting their facial features! This makes for such a great yearly keepsake!
#3. All About Me Playdough Sheet
Choose a playdough sheet and let your student have fun filling out the sections with playdough
Snack
Using a rice cake, raspberries, banana, and blueberries let your kids make a silly, self-portrait face!
Books
(Note: Some of the books this month are new to me, so be sure to skim it beforehand if you want to make sure it’s something your family values align with).
Today’s books are: “What I Like About Me”, “Marvelous Me”, and “God Knows All About Me”.
If you couldn’t grab these books from the library or store, here are some read-aloud options on YouTube!
Do You Have More Time? Here Are Some Extra Ideas!
#1. Life-Size Me Outline
Roll out a large piece of butcher paper, and have each student lie down while you trace their outline. Students can then decorate their life-size silhouette with drawings, facts, and collaged pictures about themselves—favorite hobbies, pets, family, favorite foods, etc.
#2. All About Me Collage
Provide magazines, old books, colored paper, and other collage materials. Have students create a collage that represents their interests, favorite colors, and things that are important to them. They can glue pictures and words that symbolize their personalities and what makes them unique.
#3. My Name Art
Have students create a piece of art that focuses on their names. They can use bubble letters, block letters, or another style to write their names and then fill in the letters with doodles, patterns, or drawings that represent their favorite things, personality, or culture.
I hope your students enjoyed today! 💙 If you need to print out the Me & My World Calendar still, go ahead and drop your email below so that I can send it right over!
PS: Come back tomorrow for the “All About My Family” blog post! 🙂
