It’s the FIRST DAY of Fall School!
To be completely honest, this theme was THIS close to not happening! I had quite a bit happening behind the scenes (personal/health circumstances), that slowed down the creation of everything. However, I had some good friends encourage me to keep pushing through with it. I’m SO glad that I did because I love fall and this was definitely one of my favorite themes to create!!
Are you a fan of fall too? Keep scrolling below to see what is planned for today!
Are you new to these monthly themes? No worries! You can join our FB group at any time and print out the Fall School Calendar to get started! Just scroll to the bottom of this post and pop your email in so I can send the free calendar to you.
Keep reading below for Four Seasons Day activities and printables!
Day #1. Four Seasons Day!
This is what we plan to do today! 🙂 Did you want to download and print out everything for this month? You now can! Grab the Fall School Activity Bundle here!
This 120-page PDF bundle comes with every printable you’ll need for this month PLUS extra printables like a master supply list, suggested reading list, themed snack photos, grocery list, and a teacher guide for each day! It is great for saving time by downloading and printing everything all at once! You’ll also receive a Fall School bookmark and punch card for your kids to use as they move through each themed day. 🥰
Activities
IMPORTANT NOTE: In the past, I’ve offered most items for free for 24 hours, on each themed day. I will still be giving away some freebies here and there, but most printables will stay exclusive for those who purchase the monthly bundle. There have been some concerns with a few individuals taking advantage of everything in my store being free at one point and downloading printables while they are free only to turn around and sell for their own profit.
For that reason, I need to make a change and protect my shop and whichever activities I did spend a lot of my time on creating. Thank you for understanding and for helping support me as I put time into making these themes! If you are unable to purchase the monthly bundle, I would definitely still love to have you tag along and use the snack ideas, YouTube educational video links, and read aloud book links! And as I mentioned above, there will still be occasional freebies too! ❤️
#1. Four Seasons Mini-Book
Print out this mini-book here. Cut down the middle of each page and staple together. Have your student read and complete the writing prompt on each page.
#2. Four Seasons Q-tip Art Project FREEBIE
Print out this template on cardstock. Using a Q-tip (brushes or fingerprints work too), your student can dab on different colored leaves for each season!
#3. Four Season Dough Mats
Does your student enjoy working with playdough? Laminate and use these sheets for some themed sensory play!
Snack
Use a pretzel rod and pretzel sticks to create a tree. Use green grapes, raspberries, green, red, orange, and yellow M&Ms, and blueberries to create the rest of the tree.
Books
(Note: Some of the books this month are new to me, so be sure to skim it beforehand if you want to make sure it’s something your family values align with).
Today we’ll be reading: Four Seasons Make a Year and A Stroll Through the Seasons.
If you couldn’t grab these books from the library or store, here are some read-aloud options on YouTube!
Do You Have More Time? Here Are Some Educational Videos!
Pick and choose (or watch all of) the videos below to learn more about the four seasons.
#1. Do your kids like Pete the Cat? Mine do! Here is a video of him explaining more about the four seasons.
#2. Here is another video that explains WHY there are seasons a little bit more!
#3. Your younger ones can sing along with Jack Hartmann about the different seasons!
I hope your students enjoyed learning about the four seasons today! 💙 If you need to print out the Fall School Calendar still, go ahead and drop your email below so that I can send it right over!
