#1. Baby Chicks Process Artwork
Using a plastic fork and yellow paint, create baby chicks by stamping the fork onto some painting paper. Glue eyes, beaks, and feet from this PDF on once the painting is dry.
#2. Go Visit Some Baby Chicks at a Local Store!
If possible, go to a local farm or hardware store to see some baby chicks in person!
#3. Watch This to Learn More About Baby Chicks!
If your kids are visual learners or if your family likes to include some learning videos, here is one for today from The Good and the Beautiful! There are also some extra options at the bottom of this blog post. š
#4. Fill Out Baby Chick Notebook Page (BONUS)

(Note: Everyone has different book standards! I highly suggest skimming through any books before reading them to your kids, just to make sure it aligns with your family values first) š©·
Today weāll be reading,Ā āHow Does An Egg Hatch?” by Eric Carle and “Where Do Chicks Come From?” by Amy E Sklansky (please be aware that this book does briefly mention “mating”, “fertilization”, and “sperm – if you want to skip over it on the read aloud, skip over this section: 1:18-1:40).
However, if you were unable to grab these books from the library or store, here are the read aloud options on YouTube!
PS: If you have an older child, I recommend having them read 1-2 chapters from, āCharlotteās Webā today!
