It’s Carrot Day! I figured it might be fun to follow up yesterday with a favorite bunny snack kind of day. 😊
Are you new to these monthly themes? No worries! You can join our FB group and print out the March School Calendar to get started! Just scroll to the bottom of this post and pop your email in so I can send it to you!
Keep reading below for Carrot Day activities and printables!
Day #8. Carrot Day!
Here is some of what we have planned for today! 🙂 Did you want to download and print out everything for this week all at once? You can! Grab the Easter Bunny Day Activity Pack here!
PS: If you grab BOTH the St. Patrick and Easter Bunny Activity Packs, you will receive my Holy Week Activity Pack for FREE! Just send me a screenshot of your orders over on FB messenger or at contact@printandhomeschool.com. As soon as the Holy Week Activity Pack is released, I’ll send you a special code to download it for free! These packs come with extra printables (like the mini Easter egg playdoh mats below) and are great for saving time by downloading and printing everything all at once…plus these themes will be organized, especially if you’d like to use any of this again for next year! 🩷
Activities
IMPORTANT NOTE: These printable activities will be FREE for you to download, but only during Carrot Day! So, make sure to download them even if you are going to do Carrot Day later in the week – that way you can still snag them for free. If you could leave a review behind afterwards, that would be amazing too! THANK YOU!! 🥰❤️
#1. Watercolor Carrot Art Project
Grab this printable and print it out on cardstock. Using a black crayon, have your student trace the lines. After they are finished, encourage them to use a mixture of watercolors to paint each section!
#2. Easter Bunny & Carrot Art
*NOTE: this link will take you to the same download you grabbed yesterday. That’s because I combined both bunny templates into one download.
Cut out this template and tape it to a piece of cardstock. Have your child paint. They could do a variety of techniques, as long as they make sure to covered the edge of the bunny outline. Once they are finished, they can remove the template!
#3. Easter Bunny & Carrot Coloring Page
Your younger students can color or print this page out on cardstock and paint!
Snack
Today’s snack is simple – baby carrots in a cup (simple option) OR you can place some goldfish (or another orange-colored snack) inside a baggie and tie it shut with a green pipe cleaner.
Books
(Note: Everyone has different book standards! I highly suggest skimming through any books before reading them to your kids, just to make sure it aligns with your family values first) 🩷
Today we’ll be reading, “Too Many Carrots” by Katy Hudson and “That’s My Carrot” by Il Sung Na.
However, if you were unable to grab these books from the library or store, here are the read aloud options on YouTube!
Do You Have Extra Time? Here Are Some Ideas/Videos!
Pick and choose any of the videos/activities below to learn more!
#1. Here is a video for kids about how healthy carrots are!
#2. Here is a cute little song about a bunny eating carrots in the garden.
#3. Do your students like to draw? Here is a cute carrot drawing tutorial!
I hope that you and your kids had fun today! If you need to print out the March Calendar still, drop your email below and I’ll send it right over!
