Christmas Card Day is here!
This day is going to be VERY simple and easy! This will probably feel like a nice break (for us!) or it will offer the chance for you to do a different day that you might have missed!
My kids love to make cards and give them away, hence that is why I devoted a day for making homemade Christmas cards 🙂
You can see more about my printable Christmas Card pack for kids below (each card has a Christmas joke in it!).
Are you visiting for the first time? You are still able to grab my free Christmas school calendar! You can download it below and you can also join our Christmas School FB group here 🙂 It is full of the most wonderful mommas!
Each special day on the calendar will get it’s own blog post – full of activity directions, printables, YouTube audiobook stories, and anything else to help make this EASY on you. Because the whole point of Christmas School is to pick what your kids would enjoy the most and then just have fun together. Don’t plan to do EVERYTHING (unless you guys are feeling ambitious that day 😉 ).

Day #9. Christmas Card Day!
Here is what we are planning to do on Wednesday 🙂
Just a reminder that my kids are in 4th, 2nd, and PreK grades. If you have different ages and feel like what we are doing isn’t something your kids would be interested in, feel free to scroll below! I’ll add more activity ideas at the bottom of each blog post.
Activities
Like I said above, today is pretty simple!
When it comes to art, we’re just making some homemade Christmas Cards for the kids to give away to family and friends. If you need some, I made these 10 Christmas coloring cards for my kids to pick from (each one has a different joke in it).
#1. Funny Christmas Cards
Do your kids like jokes? I made these 10 Christmas Cards for them to color and give away to friends or family 😆
Each card has a question on the outside and the answer to the joke is on the inside cover.
Just download and pick whichever cards your child would like to make!
To print the cards, you will need to print the two pages for each card double sided (remember to flip on the SHORT edge).
If you have it, printing these out on cardstock will make for a sturdier card and will help avoid any markers bleeding through!
Have fun!
Snack
Today is a free for all, when it comes to snacks!
Because to be honest, I just couldn’t think of a good “card-themed” snack idea. 😆 If you can think of one, please comment and share with me!
Plus, I also thought it would be fun to have one day for the kids to browse Christmas snack ideas on Pinterest and pick one for us to make together!
PS: if you missed a snack idea from any of the other days, you could also go back and try it today. 😊
Books
(Note: I only skimmed these books, so be sure to skim it also if you want to make sure it’s something your family values align with).
Today we’ll be reading “The Berenstain Bears and the Joy of Giving” written by Jan & Mike Berenstain. It’s not technically a “Christmas Card” book, but I feel like it’s a similar message for why we give cards away.
We’ll also listen to this read aloud “The Crayons’ Christmas” by Drew Daywalt.
Here are the YouTube Read Aloud links for these books 🙂
Do You Have More Time? Here Are Some Extra Ideas!
#1. If you haven’t already done this, have your kids write their letter to Santa Clause!
#2. Do your kids want to know more about the post office and how it works to mail a letter? Go on a virtual field trip and see the process here!
#3. Want to learn more about the history of Christmas cards? Watch this quick video to learn more!
#4. Or you could watch this longer video (12 mins) with your older kiddos about the history of Christmas cards!
