Oh my goodness, you guys! I’m so excited to share this Christmas School calendar with you all! I just posted the photo below in one of my FB groups and so many responded with such sweet comments! I know that Facebook limits how many people you can private message at a time, so I figured the best way to send this to everyone is to upload it here. That way you can download it whenever you want 😊
But first…what IS Christmas school?
How does the Christmas School Calendar 2024 work? It’s probably different for everyone (just like everything else with homeschooling 😉 ), but this is what it looks like for us!
We still do our regular schoolwork…but in December, every school day has a special theme! I’ll plan a craft, art project, writing activity, and/or science experiment based on that theme, sometimes adding in special snacks, movies, and books too. My kids absolutely love this and have already requested it again for this year, which is why I spent all morning today creating our calendar!
Can you give me an example of what this looks like?
I noticed this question popping up after I posted the calendar, so I thought I’d share a couple examples from what we did last year!
Reindeer Day: We made reindeer food (to leave out on Christmas eve in the snow), did a reindeer art project, made a reindeer snack, and watched Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer!
Snowman Day: We did a snowman craft, did an exploding snowman experiment, made snowman s’mores, and watched Frosty the snowman.
Christmas Tree Day: We did a tape resist Christmas tree art project and decorated some Christmas tree cones for a treat. We watched the old Berenstain Bears movie about finding the perfect Christmas tree too 🙂
How much time does this take?
The activities usually only take 45 minutes to 1 hour. Sometimes we do watch a movie as well. It truly doesn’t take too much time…and I’ve found that it actually helps me check off the Christmas things I already wanted to do with my kids anyways (baking Christmas cookies, watching Rudolph, etc).
Want to do this with me?!

So many sweet mamas were interested in doing this calendar too…I had the thought just now to quickly throw a group together on Facebook just for us! If you’d like to join in, grab the calendar & guide below and then join me in this group here!! I think it’d be so fun to have a place to do this together and share how it goes plus any extra tips or fun ideas we have 🙂

Looking forward to doing Christmas School alongside you all!! Christmas is my favorite season and I’m really trying hard to focus on spending quality time with my kids, esp. through doing fun things like this. It makes my heart so happy to see how many of you are wanting to do the same 🙂
