Keep reading below for Flower Day activities and printables!
Day #3. Flower Day!
Here is what we have planned for today! 🙂 Did you want to download and print out everything for this month all at once? You now can! Grab the Spring School Activity Pack here!
This 81-page PDF bundle comes with every printable you’ll need for this month PLUS extra printables (Baby Animals Notebook for Kids, Baby Animal Fact Cards, & Spring Vocabulary Cards). It is great for saving time by downloading and printing everything all at once! You’ll also receive a Spring School bookmark and punch card for your kids to use as they move through each themed day. 🥰
Activity Ideas
IMPORTANT NOTE: Most of these printable activities will be FREE for you to download, but only during Flower Day! So, make sure to download them even if you are going to do Flower Day later in the week – that way you can still snag them for free. If you could leave a review behind afterwards, that would be amazing too! THANK YOU!! 🥰❤️
#1. Roll-A-Color Flower Coloring Page
If you know me, you know that my kids really like these roll-a-color coloring activities, so of course I had to include at least one this month!
There are two designs to choose from depending on your child’s level and/or interest. Each design comes with the option to use the pre-decided colors OR you can pick which colors to use!
If you haven’t used these before, you’ll need a dice to do this! Whatever color they roll, they have to pick one section of the flower to color accordingly. Continue until the coloring page is finished!
#2. Fingerprint Flowers in a Vase Painting Project
Pick one of these printables (one has a short poem and the other does not) and print it out on cardstock. Your child can paint the vase and then use their fingerprints to fill up the vase with flowers!
#3. Grow a Crystal Flower Science Experiment
Print out this science experiment worksheet and choose a worksheet for your child (there are four different options based on your child’s writing level and/or your preference). Follow the instructions on the teacher guide to complete the experiment! For this experiment, you’ll need borax, pipe cleaners, coffee cups, popsicle sticks, and string.
#4. Read & Hang Up Vocabulary Cards
Did you grab the Spring School bundle? You can read the vocabulary words for today and color in the word (optional). Hang up the vocabulary words on the wall or display board. The vocabulary words for today are: Petal, Bud, Bloom, and Pollen.
Books
(Note: Everyone has different book standards! I highly suggest skimming through any books before reading them to your kids, just to make sure it aligns with your family values first) 🩷
Today we’ll be reading, “Fletcher and the Springtime Blossoms” by Julia Rawlinson and “Planting a Rainbow” by Lois Ehlert.
However, if you were unable to grab these books from the library or store, here are the read aloud options on YouTube!
PS: If you have an older child, I recommend having them read 1-2 chapters from, “Charlotte’s Web” today!
