Welcome to DAY THREE of the Holy Week theme! Today’s focus is on Jesus and some of your favorite moments from His time on earth. This would be a great day to read a favorite parable or story about Jesus. You can also discuss how Judas chose to betray Jesus during this time.
Are you new to these monthly themes? No worries! You can join our FB group and print out the March School Calendar to get started! Just scroll to the bottom of this post and pop your email in so I can send it to you!
Keep reading below for Jesus Day activities and printables!
Day #13. Jesus Day!
Here is some of what we have planned for today! 🙂 Did you want to download and print out everything for this week all at once? You can! Grab the Holy Week Activity Pack here!
This pack comes with extra printables (Holy Week Journal, Cards, & Read & Color Bible Reading Plan) and are great for saving time by downloading and printing everything all at once…plus these themes will be organized, especially if you’d like to use any of this again for next year! 🩷
Activities
IMPORTANT NOTE: These printable activities will be FREE for you to download, but only during Jesus Day! So, make sure to download them even if you are going to do Jesus Day later in the week – that way you can still snag them for free. If you could leave a review behind afterwards, that would be amazing too! THANK YOU!! 🥰❤️
#1. “Let the Little Children Come to Me” Watercolor Art Project
Grab this printable and trace the lines with a black colored pencil. Then paint with watercolors! There are two options to choose from, depending on whether you want the scripture verse on the page or not.
Personally, this is one of my favorite stories of Jesus, which is why I made this printable for today!
#2. Cross Art & Writing Activity
Cut out the cross and place it on top of cardstock or heavy painting paper. Paint around the cross with whatever technique you’d like. I used Q-tips to do dots of paint. Once it is dry, peel off the cross.
Want to use this as a writing activity? Fill in the white cross section with words that make you think of Jesus.
#3. Easter Story Snack Mix Printable
Use this printable card to discuss the different meanings of the Easter snack mix and then make it together! You can take turns looking up the scripture verses too.
Snack
Today’s snack is the Easter snack mix mentioned above. Use small pretzel sticks, round crackers (or Nilla wafers), goldfish (or Swedish fish), small candies, raisins, and mini-marshmallows.
Suggested Reading
Instead of books, I’ll be suggesting a scripture passage to read together.
Today’s suggested reading is Luke 22:3-6. This is about Judas betraying Jesus. It is a shorter passage today to allow you the option to read some of your favorite passages about Jesus (like mentioned above) and/or looking up the scriptures that go along with the snack above.
Do You Have Extra Time? Here Are Some Ideas/Videos!
Pick and choose any of the videos/activities below to learn more!
#1. Watch one of your favorite movies about Jesus as a family.
#2. Learn how to draw Jesus with this drawing tutorial.
#3. Here is a song about letting the little children come to Him, to go along with the art project for today!
#4. Did your kids learn about Judas today? Or did you want them to? This simple lesson includes rocks to illustrate and discuss the story of Judas betraying Jesus.
I hope that you and your kids had a good time together today! If you need to print out the March Calendar still, drop your email below and I’ll send it right over!
