#7. Themed Snack Idea
Before you read the book below, make this ladybug-themed snack for your kids to have while they read or listen to the book!
To make these cute ladybugs, youāll just need strawberries, blackberries (or you can use blueberries), and melting chocolate wafers! Cut off the tops of the strawberries and melt the chocolate wafers. Use the melted chocolate to attach the blackberry (or blueberry) to the strawberry (this is the head of the ladybug). Use the melted chocolate to create the line and spots on the ladybug. Drizzle a little chocolate off the top of the blackberry (or blueberry) to look like the antennas.
#8. Read or Listen to a Book!
(Note: Everyone has different book standards! I highly suggest skimming through any books before reading them to your kids, just to make sure it aligns with your family values first) š©·
While you enjoy snack time, wrap things up with a book! Youāre welcome to read any of the suggested books in theĀ Garden School bundle, but at our house today weāll be reading, āThe Grouchy Ladybugā by Eric Carle.
If you were unable to grab the book from the library or store, here is the read aloud option on YouTube!
Do you have older kids? I suggest having them read 1-2 chapters from, āThe Secret Gardenā!
I hope that you and your family had a wonderful time learning together today! If you need to print out the May Calendar still, drop your email below and Iāll send it right over!
