Welcome to DAY FOUR of the Holy Week theme! We’ll be focusing on The Last Supper today.
Are you new to these monthly themes? No worries! You can join our FB group and print out the March School Calendar to get started! Just scroll to the bottom of this post and pop your email in so I can send it to you!
Keep reading below for Last Supper Day activities and printables!
Day #14. Last Supper Day!
Here is some of what we have planned for today! 🙂 Did you want to download and print out everything for this week all at once? You can! Grab the Holy Week Activity Pack here!
This pack comes with extra printables (Holy Week Journal, Cards, & Read & Color Bible Reading Plan) and are great for saving time by downloading and printing everything all at once…plus these themes will be organized, especially if you’d like to use any of this again for next year! 🩷
Activities
IMPORTANT NOTE: These printable activities will be FREE for you to download, but only during Last Supper Day! So, make sure to download them even if you are going to do Last Supper Day later in the week – that way you can still snag them for free. If you could leave a review behind afterwards, that would be amazing too! THANK YOU!! 🥰❤️
#1. Last Supper Craft
Grab this printable and print for an easy, low-prep craft activity! There are two options, depending on how much your student wants to color. Your kids can color the plate, cup, and then glue or tape on different food items.
For older students, you can print out the plate and cup page on cardstock. They can paint their own food items on the plate instead!
Once they are finished, you could laminate this and save it as a keepsake for a place setting next Easter too!
#2. Foot Washing Activity
Go back in time by grabbing a bowl and towel, and then start taking turns washing each other’s feet.
#3. Resurrection Garden
Collect some things to start creating a resurrection garden, if you haven’t already! Check out the video for more details.
Suggestions: planters pot bottom (or a tray), small ceramic pot (for the tomb), dirt, grass or flower seeds, stones, twigs for the crosses, big rock, etc.
Snack
Instead of a snack today, try eating some foods that Jesus might have had during the Last Supper! We will have pita bread, grapes, olives, cheeses, and hummus.
Suggested Reading
Instead of books, I’ll be suggesting a scripture passage to read together.
Today’s suggested reading is Matthew 26:20-75.
Do You Have Extra Time? Here Are Some Ideas/Videos!
Pick and choose any of the videos/activities below to learn more!
#1. Here is a 4-minute video for kids about The Last Supper.
#2. Do your older kids like to cook or watch cooking shows? This is a neat video that discusses some, “food history” and shows Sohla cooking some recipes that Jesus might have ate at The Last Supper.
#3. This 11-minute video is an example of a condensed Passover meal and the symbolic meaning behind each item. This brought back a lot of memories because growing up my family would sit down and do this together sometimes!
#4. Watch your family’s favorite reenactment of The Last Supper. If you don’t have one, here is a clip of The Last Supper.
I hope that your family has a wonderful time together today! If you need to print out the March Calendar still, drop your email below and I’ll send it right over!
