“Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. 5 It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking. It is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs...” 1st Corinthians 13:4-8
Today is all about forgiveness!

Day #8. Love Forgives Day!
Here is some of what we are planning to do on Wednesday! 🙂 If you purchased the Valentine School bundle, there are discussion questions included for each day. I recommend reading those beforehand or while you’re waiting on an experiment or doing an art activity!
Activities
IMPORTANT NOTE: These printable activities will be FREE for you to download, but only until Love Forgives Day is over! So, make sure to download them even if you are going to do Love Forgives Day later in the week – that way you can still snag them for free. If you could leave a review behind afterwards, that would be amazing too! THANK YOU!! 🥰❤️
#1. Fizzy Valentine Hearts Science Experiment
Do you have some baking soda, vinegar, and heart molds? You can make these little frozen baking soda hearts and melt them with the power of vinegar! Students will use this printable to follow along and a dropper to slowly dissolve the hearts with vinegar.
If you want, you can discuss how our heart can get hard when we get mad at someone and hold onto that anger. It can also make our hearts a little cold too. However, when we offer forgiveness, that can be so powerful (just like the vinegar in the experiment) as it begins to soften and melt our hearts. ❤️
#2. Paint a Heart with Shaving Cream!
Students will use this printable, paint, and shaving cream to paint this heart!
#3. Or Use a Straw to Stamp on Paint Instead!
*FYI – this project is the same download as above!
Slice the end of a straw and fold the ends. Dip the end of the straw in some paint and use it to stamp on unique designs on the heart printable!
Snack
The snack for today is easy! Cut a sandwich or quesadilla into the shape of a heart!
Books
(Note: Everyone has different book standards! I highly suggest skimming through any books before reading them to your kids, just to make sure it aligns with your family values first) 🩷
Today we’ll be reading, “We All Need Forgiveness” by Mercer Mayer and, “The Berenstain Bears: The Forgiving Tree” by Mike & Jan Berenstain.
If you were unable to grab these books from the library or store, here are some read aloud options on YouTube!
Do You Have Extra Time? Here Are Some Ideas/Videos!
Pick and choose any of the videos/activities below to learn more!
#1. Want to add on a mini-Bible lesson/devotional? Here are two more videos from Douglas Talks.
#2. Do your kids enjoy drawing? Here is a cute heart tutorial from Art for Kids Hub!
I hope your kids enjoyed learning how important it is to offer forgiveness to others (and also how important it is to ask for it)! 🩷 If you need to print out the Valentine Calendar still, drop your email below and I’ll send it right over!
