Today is all about being humble and how love means not being boastful or proud. It’s important to remember how nobody is better than another and we all have wonderful abilities and gifts to contribute to the world!
Are you new to Valentine School 2024? No worries! You can learn more about it here and join our Valentine School FB group as well🙂 If you need to print out the Valentine School Calendar, scroll to the bottom of this post and pop your email in so I can send it to you!

Day #5. Love is Humble Day!
Here is some of what we are planning to do on Friday! 🙂 If you purchased the Valentine School bundle, there are discussion questions included for each day. I recommend reading those beforehand or while you’re waiting on an experiment or doing an art activity!
Activities
IMPORTANT NOTE: These printable activities will be FREE for you to download, but only until Love is Humble Day is over! So, make sure to download them even if you are going to do Love is Humble Day later in the week – that way you can still snag them for free. If you could leave a review behind afterwards, that would be amazing too! THANK YOU!! 🥰❤️
#1. Grow a Heart Science Experiment
This fun science activity can help your students visualize humility. If we imagine that each of us has a balloon that represents who we are, we can remember that we don’t want to get too puffed up with pride or else our balloon will pop (which would be sad!). We also can remember how everyone else has their own unique balloon and the world is a much better place when we don’t try to pop someone else’s balloon or make them feel smaller.
#2. Balloon Stamping Art
Students will use paper, paint, balloons, and this printable to create some process art using balloons and a stamping technique.
#3. Dot Paint Globe
*FYI – this is the same download as above! Both projects are included in the download.
After reading or listening to, “The World Needs Who You Were Made To Be“, use this printable, paint, and Q-tips to add dots (aka hot air balloons) all across the world! This represents how every person is different across the world and when we stay humble and celebrate how everyone is unique, we make a more beautiful world. ❤️
Snack
After reading, “The World Needs Who You Were Made To Be”, make some hot air balloon snacks! All you’ll need are some apples, small pretzel sticks, graham crackers, and marshmallows. 🩷
Books
(Note: Everyone has different book standards! I highly suggest skimming through any books before reading them to your kids, just to make sure it aligns with your family values first) 🩷
Today we’ll be reading, “The World Needs Who You Were Made To Be” by Joanna Gaines and “The Humble Ninja” by Mary Nhin.
If you were unable to grab these books from the library or store, here are some read aloud options on YouTube! I wasn’t able to find The Humble Ninja on YouTube, but I found another read aloud option instead!
Do You Have Extra Time? Here Are Some Ideas/Videos!
Pick and choose any of the videos/activities below to learn more about humility!
#1. Would you like a little Bible lesson for today? This is a great video for that!
#2. To continue the balloon/hot air balloon theme, here are some drawing tutorials!
I hope your kids enjoyed learning about humility today! 🩷 If you need to print out the Valentine Calendar still, drop your email below and I’ll send it right over!
