“Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking. It is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always hopes, always trusts…” 1st Corinthians 13:4-8
Today is all about TRUST and how important it is to trust those that we love.
Are you new to Valentine School 2024? No worries! You can learn more about it here and join our Valentine School FB group as well🙂 If you need to print out the Valentine School Calendar, scroll to the bottom of this post and pop your email in so I can send it to you!
Keep reading below for more about Love Trusts Day!
Day #12. Love Trusts Day!
Here is some of what we have planned for today! 🙂 If you purchased the Valentine School bundle, there are discussion questions included for each day. I recommend reading those beforehand or while you’re waiting on an experiment or doing an art activity!
Activities
IMPORTANT NOTE: These printable activities will be FREE for you to download, but only until Love Trusts Day is over! So, make sure to download them even if you are going to do Love Trusts Day later in the week – that way you can still snag them for free. If you could leave a review behind afterwards, that would be amazing too! THANK YOU!! 🥰❤️
#1. Valentine’s Static Electricity Science Experiment
Grab this worksheet, a balloon, a piece of dark paper, and some glitter to see static electricity in action! This experiment is a great reminder that, even though we can’t actually see static electricity, we can TRUST that it is there and that it is the reason behind what happens in the experiment.
#2. It Will Be Okay Coloring Page
After you read (or listen below to) the book, “It Will Be Okay”, here is a coloring page! You could also print it out on cardstock and let your kids paint it.
#3. Seed Mosiac Heart Art
Do you have some extra seeds or beans laying around? After reading, “It Will Be Okay”, your kids can use cardboard (cut out in the shape of a heart), glue, and seeds for some seed-inspired art!
Snack
For some extra fun today, use graham crackers, a little frosting, and Valentine-colored M&Ms to create a tic-tac-toe snack!
Books
(Note: Everyone has different book standards! I highly suggest skimming through any books before reading them to your kids, just to make sure it aligns with your family values first) 🩷
Today we’ll be reading, “It Will Be Okay: Trusting God Through Fear & Change” by Lysa TerKeurst.
However, if you were unable to grab this book from the library or store, here is a read aloud option on YouTube!
Do You Have Extra Time? Here Are Some Ideas/Videos!
Pick and choose any of the videos/activities below to learn more!
#1. Want to add on a mini-Bible lesson/devotional? Here is another video from Douglas Talks.
#2. Do your kids enjoy drawing? After reading the book for today, here is a cute fox drawing tutorial from Art for Kids Hub!
I hope that your kids enjoyed learning about what it means to trust! 🩷 If you need to print out the Valentine Calendar still, drop your email below and I’ll send it right over!
