Day #10. Pie Day!
This is what we plan to do today! 🙂 Did you want to download and print out everything for this month? You now can! Grab the Fall School Activity Bundle here!
This 120-page PDF bundle comes with every printable you’ll need for this month PLUS extra printables like a master supply list, suggested reading list, themed snack photos, grocery list, and a teacher guide for each day! It is great for saving time by downloading and printing everything all at once! You’ll also receive a Fall School bookmark and punch card for your kids to use as they move through each themed day. 🥰
Activities
IMPORTANT NOTE: In the past, I’ve offered most items for free for 24 hours, on each themed day. I will still be giving away some freebies here and there, but most printables will stay exclusive for those who purchase the monthly bundle. There have been some concerns with a few individuals taking advantage of everything in my store being free at one point and downloading printables while they are free only to turn around and sell for their own profit.
For that reason, I need to make a change and protect my shop and whichever activities I did spend a lot of my time on creating. Thank you for understanding and for helping support me as I put time into making these themes! If you are unable to purchase the monthly bundle, I would definitely still love to have you tag along and use the snack ideas, YouTube educational video links, and read aloud book links! And as I mentioned above, there will still be occasional freebies too! ❤️
#1. Favorite Pie Graphing Activity
Pick a worksheet and help your student follow the directions on the page!
#2. Build-a-Pie Dough Mat FREEBIE
Does your student like playing with playdough? Laminate and use this sheet for some themed sensory fun!
#3. My Perfect Pie Art + Writing Activity
Print out this activity on cardstock and have your student answer the writing prompt first (optional). Students could try using a white crayon to make the top crust. They will then paint over it with watercolor paint to reveal the crust design.
Snack
Make an “apple pie in a cup” snack by layering vanilla wafer crumbs, diced apples, applesauce, and whip cream.
Books
(Note: Some of the books this month are new to me, so be sure to skim it beforehand if you want to make sure it’s something your family values align with).
Today we’ll be reading: Porcupine’s Pie and Amelia Bedilia’s First Apple Pie
If you couldn’t grab these books from the library or store, here are some read-aloud options on YouTube!
Do You Have More Time? Here Are Some Educational Videos!
Pick and choose (or watch all of) the videos below to celebrate pie day a little more!
#1. Watch kids try some different kinds of pies from around the world!
#2. Learn about the history of apple pies and how to make an apple pie in the microwave!
#3. Here is a cute pie drawing tutorial!
I hope your students enjoyed today! 🧡 If you need to print out the Fall school Calendar still, go ahead and drop your email below so that I can send it right over!
PS: Come back Monday for the next Fall School blog post! 🙂
