Happy Easter! Technically, I didn’t have anything on the March calendar for today, since I haven’t done any weekend themed days. However, of course we needed to finish Holy Week with celebrating Jesus rising again!
Are you new to these monthly themes? No worries! You can join our FB group and print out the March School Calendar to get started! Just scroll to the bottom of this post and pop your email in so I can send it to you!
Keep reading below for Resurrection Day activities and printables!
Day #16. Resurrection Day!
Here is some of what we have planned for today! 🙂 Did you miss any of these days and want to download and print out everything for next year? You can! Grab the Holy Week Activity Pack here!
This pack comes with extra printables (Holy Week Journal, Cards, & Read & Color Bible Reading Plan) and are great for saving time by downloading and printing everything all at once…plus these themes will be organized, especially if you’d like to use any of this again for next year! 🩷
Activities
IMPORTANT NOTE: These printable activities will be FREE for you to download, but only during Resurrection Day! So, make sure to download them even if you are going to do Resurrection Day later in the week – that way you can still snag them for free. If you could leave a review behind afterwards, that would be amazing too! THANK YOU!! 🥰❤️
#1. He Is Risen Watercolor Crayon Resist Reveal Art
Grab this printable and print out on cardstock. Using a white crayon, write “He Is Risen” inside the tomb and then have your student use watercolors to reveal it.
#2. Make Some Resurrection Rolls
Use some crescent rolls, marshmallows, brown sugar (or you could substitute cinnamon sugar), and butter to create some resurrection rolls! You can follow this printable here which also explains the symbolism of each step.
#3. He Is Risen Coloring Page
Here is a simple coloring page for your kids today!
Snack
In addition to the resurrection rolls above, you could use the slice of a pineapple to represent the empty tomb!
Suggested Reading
Instead of books, I’ll be suggesting a scripture passage to read together.
Today’s suggested reading is Luke 24:1-53.
