Shamrocks are the theme of the day! π
You might notice that Iβm posting these blogs a little bit earlier than normal this week (Iβm just trying to get ahead of myself haha!). Many of these printables will still be offered for free (like normal) for 24 hours during special themed days, but until then (and until I have time to list them individually over on my TPT shop), the link will take you to the activity pack. π
Are you new to these monthly themes? No worries! You can join our FB group and print out the March School Calendar to get started! Just scroll to the bottom of this post and pop your email in so I can send it to you!
Keep reading below for Shamrock Day activities and printables!
Day #3. Shamrock Day!
Here is some of what we have planned for today! π Did you want to download and print out everything for this week all at once? You can! Grab the St. Patrickβs Day Activity Pack here!
Activities
IMPORTANT NOTE: These printable activities will be FREE for you to download, but only during Shamrock Day! So, make sure to download them even if you are going to do Shamrock Day later in the week β that way you can still snag them for free. If you could leave a review behind afterwards, that would be amazing too! THANK YOU!! π₯°β€οΈ
#1. Watercolor Shamrocks
Use this printable, a black crayon, and watercolor paint to create some pretty shamrocks! Grab some scissors to cut them out afterwards and hang up for decorations!
#2. Roll-A-Color Shamrock Coloring Page
Do your kids like to roll dice and make coloring more of a game? My kids LOVE these! Roll a dice and color a section of these shamrocks according to the number you rolled!
You can also print these out on cardstock and have your kids paint the sections instead of coloring them.
To use this printable, you’ll just need some dice (one is good) and whatever your kids will be coloring or painting with!
#3. Coffee Filter Shamrocks
Grab some white coffee filters, color with washable markers, and spray with water to create pretty decorative shamrocks!
Let them dry and then cut out into shapes of shamrocks! If you make a bunch of these, you could create a garland to hang in your school room. π
Snack
The snack for today are healthy shamrocks! You’ll slice a green pepper and clean out any seeds. Fill the pepper with any green fruit or veggies (like broccoli or grapes). You can also slice some cucumbers and set three next to each other, to create some mini shamrocks.
For something sweet instead, you could also get little pretzels, drizzle melted white chocolate (mixed with some green food coloring) on top, and stick three together to look like a clover!
Books
(Note: Everyone has different book standards! I highly suggest skimming through any books before reading them to your kids, just to make sure it aligns with your family values first) π©·
Today weβll be reading, “Green Shamrocks” by Eve Bunting and “There Was An Old Lady Who Swallowed a Clover” by Lucille Colandro.
However, if you were unable to grab these books from the library or store, here are the read aloud options on YouTube!
